Mission

At Mount View Elementary all people belong. We are an inclusive community that values our multicultural and multilingual assets. We aim to develop global citizens in the pursuit of social justice.

Vision

At Mount View Elementary, families, staff, students, and stakeholders value living in an inclusive, multicultural and multilingual community where each student’s strengths are celebrated and their needs are supported in pursuit of high academic achievement. We agree that it is important to teach our children to think critically and to develop compassion and kindness to prepare them for global citizenship. With this in mind, we view each student as a developing multilingual learner and believe that our dual language program is for all students regardless of race, culture, language, ability and learning style. We see students holistically, recognizing that they bring unique gifts, talents, and knowledge, including linguistic resources across numerous languages, that enrich our learning community.
